What does LFP mean and why this cell chemistry?
LFP stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate. These cells do not contain cobalt, are significantly more thermally stable than NMC cells, and can withstand a large number of charging cycles. For a storage unit that is charged and discharged daily for years and is located in a residential building, this is the safest common design.
How much do 23.9 kWh bring me in everyday life?
23.9 kWh are designed for 8,000 to 10,000 kWh annual consumption – for example, a larger house with a heat pump and electric car or a small commercial business. Even on cloudy days, this leaves enough reserve for the night.
Is there funding for the storage system?
The EAG investment subsidy funds electricity storage systems in 2026 with €150 per kWh of usable capacity, with a Made-in-Europe bonus of €165 per kWh. Up to 50 kWh and a maximum of 30% of the investment costs are subsidized, only in conjunction with a new or expanded PV system. All information is non-binding – the EAG processing office provides binding information.
Can I expand the storage system later?
Yes. A tower can hold up to 8 modules of 3.98 kWh each, i.e., up to 31.9 kWh. In addition, up to 4 towers can be operated in parallel, totaling up to 127.6 kWh. So you start small and grow with it when a heat pump or electric car is added.
Can the storage system be placed outdoors?
The Reserva Pro is IP65 protected and approved for indoor and sheltered outdoor use, at −20 to +50 °C and up to 2,000 m above sea level. Sheltered means: no continuous direct rain and no blazing sun, for example under a canopy or in a carport.
