Advantages at a Glance
Modularly expandable
Built from 4 modules, expandable to up to 8 modules (31.9 kWh) in a tower. Up to 4 towers in parallel result in 127.6 kWh.
LFP Cell Chemistry
Lithium iron phosphate is thermally stable and cobalt-free – the safest cell chemistry commonly used in homes.
IP65 – also outdoors
Indoor and sheltered outdoor areas, −20 to +50 °C, up to 2,000 m above sea level. No separate technical room required.
High-voltage technology
283.36 V nominal voltage and 50 A maximum output current – fewer conversion losses than with low-voltage systems.
10-year warranty
Fronius guarantees 80% of the original usable capacity (State of Health) after 10 years.
Made in Europe
Fronius develops and produces in Upper Austria – relevant for the Made-in-Europe bonus of the EAG subsidy.

Subsidies in Austria
A prerequisite is that the product is listed on the White List of the EAG processing body and that the bonus is applied for at the time of application. Storage systems are also only subsidized in conjunction with a newly built or expanded PV system. Non-binding information, as of August 2026. Subsidy rates, conditions, and product listings may change at any time – no guarantee and no claim to a subsidy commitment. Binding information is provided exclusively by the EAG processing body.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does LFP mean and why this cell chemistry?
LFP stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate. These cells are cobalt-free, significantly more thermally stable than NMC cells, and can withstand many charging cycles. For a storage unit that is charged and discharged daily for years and located in a residential building, this is the safest common design.
How much do 15.9 kWh provide in daily use?
15.9 kWh is comfortably sufficient for a household with an annual consumption of around 5,000 to 6,500 kWh overnight – including the base load of a heat pump. Those who previously fed about half of their solar power into the grid typically increase their self-consumption to 70 to 85% with this.
Are there subsidies for the storage unit?
The EAG investment grant supports electricity storage systems in 2026 with €150 per kWh of usable capacity, and with the Made-in-Europe bonus, €165 per kWh. Up to 50 kWh and a maximum of 30% of the investment costs are subsidized, only in conjunction with a new or expanded PV system. All information is non-binding – binding information is provided by the EAG processing body.
Can I expand the storage unit later?
Yes. A tower can hold up to 8 modules of 3.98 kWh each, i.e., up to 31.9 kWh. Furthermore, up to 4 towers can be operated in parallel, totaling up to 127.6 kWh. So you start small and grow as a heat pump or electric car are added.
Can the storage unit be placed outdoors?
The Reserva Pro is protected according to IP65 and approved for indoor and sheltered outdoor use, at −20 to +50 °C and up to 2,000 m above sea level. Sheltered means: no continuous direct rain and no direct sunlight, for example, under an awning or in a carport.
Who is Fronius?
Fronius International is an Austrian family-owned company based in Wels, Upper Austria, founded in 1945. In addition to welding technology and battery charging systems, solar electronics is one of its three divisions. Development and production take place in Austria.
Where can I buy the Fronius Reserva Pro in Austria?
At SOLARVIC on solarvic.at – as a specialist dealer and installer, we deliver throughout Austria and install upon request. For orders over €5,000, shipping within Austria is free. We are happy to advise you personally on design questions.
