As part of the modular frequency inverter SINAMICS G120 (consisting of power unit, control unit, operator panel), the Power Modules PM240-2 (protection type IP20) have a braking chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are suitable for a wide range of applications in general mechanical engineering. The PM240-2 power unit can be flexibly combined with various control units (Control Units) depending on the application scope and safety requirements (e.g., STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). In combination with the Control Units CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2, the functional SINAMICS G120 frequency inverter is created. The PM240-2 with IP20 protection is an installation device for the control cabinet in a power range from 0.55 kW to 250 kW, as well as the three voltage variants 200 V, 400 V, and 690 V. The Power Modules are available unfiltered or with integrated Class A line filter and in seven frame sizes from FSA to FSG. For optimal dissipation of waste heat outside the control cabinet, the power unit is also available as a push-through version. The frame sizes also offer Safety Integrated. Due to the robust design, cable lengths of up to 450 meters (frame size FSF/FSG) can be achieved. Shielding plates and shielding connection kits are available for EMC-compliant wiring.
