What does the DACH version mean?
The unit, control, and documents are designed for the German-speaking region: menu navigation and documentation in German, mains connection 400 V / 50 Hz. This allows the heat pump to be used equally in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Subsidies and registration requirements differ by country – your local installer will clarify this.
Why R290 and not R32 or R410A?
R290 is propane, a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of 0.02 instead of several hundred. It is not subject to the scarcity of fluorinated refrigerants and at the same time achieves higher flow temperatures – here up to 75 °C.
Does the 12 kW size fit my house?
The VWL 125/8.1 delivers 12.14 kW at -7 °C outside temperature and 35 °C flow. It is the largest stage in the series and is suitable for large residential buildings, two-family houses, or existing buildings with 11 to 14 kW heating load. The exact dimensioning requires a heating load calculation according to EN 12831.
How does it differ from the 105/8.1?
Housing, refrigerant quantity, efficiency values, and sound behavior are almost identical. The difference lies in the heating output at low outside temperatures: 12.14 kW instead of 10.58 kW at -7 °C.
How loud is the heat pump in operation?
59.9 dB(A) sound power at maximum, in silent mode at A7/W35 only 49.6 dB(A). In night mode, it is 27.5 dB(A) at 3 m distance – quieter than a quiet living room.
What do I need in addition to the outdoor unit?
The aroTHERM plus is a monoblock, the complete refrigeration circuit is outside. For a complete system, depending on the concept, a hydraulic station or a uniTOWER, a hot water tank, and the system control are added. We can put together the right package on request.
