What does N-Type TOPCon mean for this solar module?

TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is a modern N-Type cell technology. A thin oxide layer on the back of the cell reduces recombination losses, allowing for higher efficiencies and less degradation than with classic P-Type cells. The HSM-ND66-GR630 thus achieves 23.3% module efficiency at 630 Wp.

What are the benefits of bifacial glass-glass construction?

In a glass-glass module, the cells are embedded between two glass panes instead of between glass and a backsheet. This protects against moisture and mechanical stress and extends the lifespan. Bifacial means that the rear side also absorbs light – reflected radiation from the ground provides additional yield depending on the installation.
