What does N-TOPCon mean and why is this technology better?
TOPCon stands for "Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact". An ultrathin tunnel oxide and a doped polysilicon layer are applied to an n-type silicon wafer, which significantly reduces recombination losses. Compared to PERC, this means: higher efficiency, virtually no light-induced power loss due to boron-oxygen complexes, better low-light performance, and a more favorable temperature coefficient of −0.29 %/°C.
What is the difference between glass-glass and glass-film?
In this module, both the front and back are made of 2.0 mm heat-strengthened glass. Glass does not age like a plastic backsheet, does not outgas, and does not absorb moisture. The result: higher mechanical stiffness, excellent anti-PID properties, slower degradation, and the ability to utilize light from the back (bifacial).
What exactly does "anti-glare" mean?
The anti-glare coating on the front glass reduces reflection intensity by more than 50%. This is relevant in densely built residential areas, along lines of sight to roads and railway lines, and near airports. Some municipalities now mandate anti-glare glass—if in doubt, check with your local planning authority.
