Split-type air-to-water heat pump
Description
Air-to-water heat pump for heating, domestic hot water preparation, and cooling (cooling mode can be activated via settings), consisting of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit (combi-hydro module), which is a combination of a hydro module and a hot water tank.
Outdoor unit
Outdoor unit for split-type air-to-water heat pump, 230 V, R32
Housing made of galvanized and baked enamel sheet steel RAL 7016, for outdoor installation, removable housing lid for easy access to internal components. Base plate with mounting tabs and condensate drain.
Axial fan with continuously adjustable DC motor and a sound and flow-optimized plastic impeller.
The system is optimized for R32 refrigerant with low global warming potential. Air-cooled heat exchanger made of copper pipes with corrugated aluminum fins with coating. Twin rotary compressor, sound-insulated and vibration-damped mounted, and equipped with a pressure-side silencer. Electronic expansion valve, 4-way reversing valve, filter dryer, and shut-off valves with test connection. Factory tested for pressure resistance and leak tightness and pre-filled with refrigerant. Long line lengths up to 40 m and height differences up to 30 m between indoor and outdoor unit are permissible.
Hydraulic circuit
Stainless steel plate heat exchanger. Circulation pump as Panasonic high-efficiency pump with DC motor, continuously controlled. Flow monitoring. Vortex flow meter for dynamic adjustment of water flow rate depending on the specified temperature spread, integrated dirty water magnetic filter for the water circuit, electric heating element with thermal overcurrent trip. Safety and vent valve, water pressure sensor for measuring system pressure. 10-liter expansion tank. 3-way valve for switching between hot water mode and heating or cooling mode. The maximum water outlet temperature at the combi-hydro module is 60 °C and is reached even down to -10 °C outdoor temperature. The minimum water outlet temperature in cooling mode is 5 °C. Heating mode possible down to -20 °C, cooling mode up to +10 °C outdoor temperature. The maximum water temperature in the domestic hot water tank is 65 °C.
Connections
Connections for refrigerant lines as well as for flow and return (heating/cooling), cold water inlet, and hot water outlet of the hot water tank are routed upwards from the unit in a row next to each other.
Control
Modulating capacity adjustment of the compressor by INVERTER+ control electronics. Temperature sensors for outdoor temperature, compressor, hot gas, and suction line temperature, as well as evaporator temperature. Higher efficiency, as the compressor starts in partial load operation and the compressor frequency is increased if required, circuit reversal for rapid and efficient defrosting of the outdoor unit heat exchanger. Improved defrosting behavior through bypass defrosting. Communication modules for optimal data exchange with the hydro module. Electronic manometer provides value in electronic form for transmission via WLAN

System
The system is optimized for R32 refrigerant with low global warming potential. Functions include heating mode, cooling mode, screed drying, automatic mode, display of energy consumption and generation. Additional functions: weekly timer, holiday programs, secondary pump control, bivalence control, selectable temperature sensor or room temperature sensor/thermostat, intelligent quiet mode (quiet mode priority "performance"), optional board for additional functions such as control and temperature regulation of a buffer tank, control of two heating circuits (including swimming pool heating), input for external shutdown of the outdoor unit, integration of a solar station, external fault messages, inputs for SG-Ready control. Integration into third-party BMS systems via optional interfaces. Optional Smart Cloud adapter for operation and remote maintenance via Panasonic Cloud applications. Simultaneous use of the BMS system and the Smart Cloud adapter. Self-diagnosis system with display of error codes, improved defrost function, during defrost operation the heat pump can switch to hot water mode.
Separate heating or domestic hot water control with a clear control panel (controller) with backlit 3.5-inch display and keypad with touch keys. Easy-to-understand symbols and clear text menu displays in 16 different user languages. Additional quick menu for the user. Continuous display of outdoor and flow temperature. Outdoor temperature-controlled adjustment of the flow temperature in heating mode. Temperature sensors for condenser, flow, and return temperature. Weekly timer for time-dependent on/off switching and operating mode preset. Programmable timer for thermal disinfection. Demand-dependent control of the auxiliary electric heater.
