TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) based on N-Type wafers reduces recombination losses at the contacts. The result is higher efficiency, better low-light performance, and lower annual degradation than with classic P-Type cells.

With glass-glass, the rear side is protected by glass instead of a film, allowing the cells to absorb light from both sides. Reflected light from the ground provides additional rear-side yield, while the double glazing increases lifespan and minimizes degradation.

With average solar irradiance in Austria, a 455 Wp module delivers approximately 430 to 500 kWh per year, with rear-side gain in the upper range. At an electricity price of 25 ct/kWh, this corresponds to savings of about 108 to 125 euros annually per module.

For an annual consumption of 4500 to 5500 kWh, about 20 to 26 modules of this type are suitable. This results in a system output of approximately 9 to 12 kWp and covers a large part of self-consumption, ideally in combination with a storage system.
