It centrally controls PV generation, battery charging, and grid connection, making it suitable for self-consumption in single and two-family homes.
For which systems is it suitable?
The ESA is suitable for single-phase PV systems with up to 7.20 kWp DC connection power. Thanks to two MPPT trackers with 20 A each, two separately oriented module strings can be connected, such as east and west roofs. The usable storage of 5.0 kWh covers the typical evening and night needs of a household.
Is the GoodWe ESA capable of providing emergency power?
Yes, the system is capable of providing backup power. In the event of a power outage, it continues to supply connected consumers via the integrated storage, so that important household appliances continue to operate. In addition, NA protection, AFCI arc fault protection, and rapid shutdown ensure safety during operation.
Can I expand the storage later?
Yes. The high-voltage battery module GW 5.0 BAT-D-G20 can be stacked – up to 6 modules per unit are possible. This allows the storage capacity to be adjusted later to an increasing power demand without having to replace the entire system.
