If the contact is used to control switching devices which do not switch at zero crossing themselves, (N) should not be connected, as the additional closing delay would otherwise have the opposite effect. Due to the use of a bistable relay, there is no coil power loss and no heating in the switched-on state. The relay contact can be open or closed during commissioning and synchronizes at the first operation. This relay is not suitable for feedback with the switching voltage of a dimmer switch. For this purpose, only the relays ESR12DDX-UC, ESR12NP-230V+UC or ESR61NP-230V+UC should be used. The electronics have no own power supply and therefore no standby loss. Only when the control contact is closed is the microcontroller activated, which switches the bistable relay in the correct direction. When the control contact is opened or the control voltage drops, it switches back.
