Accessory Base Load: A base load is used when consumers cannot be detected due to their capacity, but should cause the mains voltage to be switched on. Base loads must always be operated in parallel with the associated consumer and switched off with it. Higher standby loads can impair or prevent the detection of a base load. Examples include: fluorescent lamps, dimmer circuits and electronic transformers. Base load element GLE: PTC in a small sleeve with connecting cables, can be used directly in a consumer, a switch box or a junction box. It is not able to keep the mains isolator switched on without an additional consumer. Technical data: Cold resistance: 3500Ω. Inrush current at 230V: 65mA (approx. 15W). Power loss after 60 seconds: 0.65W.
