The CLARIS filter cartridge also has a reservoir of natural active ingredients at its lower end that stabilise the water in the tank and thus reduce limescale deposits in the area of the tank bottom. This works completely without additional energy or external influence, solely through the natural movement of the water in the tank, which continuously flows through the reservoir. The upper part of the CLARIS filter cartridge continues to filter exactly the required amount of water for perfect coffee preparation by means of ion exchange and activated carbon using the upflow principle. Thanks to RFID technology, the automatic coffee machine also detects whether a filter is inserted and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It continuously collects information on filter usage and reports when the capacity is exhausted. This not only makes changing the filter easier than ever, but also allows CLARIS Pro Smart+ to fully develop its effectiveness.
