Saves time: Fast voltage testing through non-contact measurement. Increases your efficiency: Thanks to an internationally adapted measuring tip, it can be used with all sockets worldwide. Increases your efficiency: Integrated, bright LED flashlight. Increases your flexibility: Voltage tester covers a wide voltage range from 12 - 1,000 V AC. Application: For detecting and locating live conductors, cable interruptions and breaks, blown fuses, defective lamps on fairy lights, and single-strand detection. Before starting an electrical installation, electricians must ensure that the work environment is de-energized. A voltage tester is required to test electrical alternating fields or locate suspected sources of error. With the non-contact Wiha voltage tester, an initial indication of whether there is no voltage is possible thanks to optical and acoustic signals. After switching on, the permanently green LED indicates operational readiness. During voltage testing, depending on the strength of the electrical alternating field, the LEDs light up from blue (weak) to orange to red (strong). Two AAA batteries are required for use and are included in the scope of delivery. If the device is not used for 4 minutes, it automatically switches off to save energy. An integrated LED flashlight enables illumination of the measuring points in dark environments and can be used as a flashlight by manually switching it on and off. Thanks to its handy size, the voltage tester with a clip fits comfortably into any shirt and trouser pocket. Thanks to the internationally adapted measuring tip, the voltage tester is suitable for all socket variants worldwide. The single-pole voltage tester complies with the standard EN 61010-1 / IEC 61326 and is designed for CAT IV 1,000 VAC. Furthermore, the tool is approved according to the ATEX standard for use in potentially explosive areas (Category II). Before and after each use, the voltage tester must be tested on a known voltage source to ensure functionality.
