TF42 are economical, electromechanical motor protection devices for currents up to 38 A. In the event of an overload, they provide reliable thermal protection for the connected motors. TF42 are typically mounted on contactors AF09 to AF38, but can also be mounted separately on a DIN rail using a single mounting kit. If the motor current set on the current scale is exceeded, the relays trip via bimetallic elements, thereby changing the switching position of the two auxiliary contacts 1NO/1NC. This deactivates a upstream contactor. The relays allow manual or automatic reset, they have test and stop functions as well as a tripped indicator. The current scale of the devices is sealable. Accessories such as reset buttons and remote reset complete the range. TF42 have trip class 10, are temperature compensated and phase loss sensitive, and have Atex approval.
