TF42 are economical, electromechanical motor protection devices for currents up to 38 A. In the event of overload, they offer reliable thermal protection for connected motors. TF42 are typically mounted on AF09 to AF38 contactors, but can also be mounted separately on a DIN rail using a stand-alone mounting kit. If the motor current set on the current scale is exceeded, the relays trip via bimetallic elements, thereby changing the switching position of the two auxiliary contacts 1NO/1NC. This deactivates an upstream contactor. The relays allow manual or automatic reset, they have test and stop functions, and a tripped indicator. The current scale of the devices can be sealed. Accessories such as reset buttons and remote reset complete the range. TF42 have trip class 10, are temperature compensated and phase loss sensitive, and have Atex approval.
