Safety cables are used wherever special protection against fire and fire damage for people and property is necessary and high safety requirements must be met. They may be installed indoors. When laid outdoors, protection against direct sunlight must be provided (sheath color orange). Direct laying in earth and water is only permitted when using a protective conduit.
