K2 Mounting Sets Cross Connector

(5 products)

The K2 cross-connection mounting kits install two layers of SingleRail 36 crosswise on the tile roof: The lower rail layer sits on the SingleHook 3S roof hooks, the upper layer runs at right angles above it and supports the modules lying transversely. This distributes the loads more evenly into the roof, improves rear ventilation, and compensates for uneven roof surfaces. Available for 2 to 6 modules – including black module clamps, EndCaps, and potential equalization.

Two rail layers crosswise

The first layer of SingleRail 36 is attached to the roof hooks, the second layer is mounted at right angles to it. The modules lie transversely on the upper level. This structure bridges roof unevenness, decouples the modules from the tile profile, and creates more air space under the modules.

What's included

SingleHook 3S roof hooks including mounting screws, SingleRail 36 rails for both layers including rail connectors, black anodized end and mid clamps, EndCaps, TerraGrif potential equalization and lightning protection clamps – matched to the respective number of modules.

Frequently asked questions
When is a cross-connection worthwhile?

For uneven or older tile roofs, for unfavorable rafter spacing, and whenever loads need to be introduced more broadly into the roof.

How are the modules arranged?

Transversely, i.e., horizontally on the upper rail layer. The lower layer runs at right angles to it directly on the roof hooks.

For which modules are the kits designed?

Standard framed modules with 30–42 mm frame height.

Does the roof need to be statically checked?

Yes. The design is based on wind load zone 2 and storey height 3. Each roof must be checked on an object-specific basis; in case of deviation, additional components are required.
