Firefighter's switch

This category includes firefighter switches (also known as string disconnectors or emergency stop systems) for photovoltaic systems, which de-energize the DC string lines in the event of fire or danger. Typical products disconnect several strings simultaneously and feature automatic triggering, for example, when a defined ambient temperature is exceeded (e.g., above 70 °C) or by manual operation. They increase the safety of emergency forces by interrupting the dangerous DC voltage on the roof close to the modules. The devices are designed according to the number of strings and poles as well as the permissible DC voltages and currents of the PV system.
