What does the DACH version mean?
The device, controls, and documentation are designed for the German-speaking region: menu navigation and documentation in German, mains connection 400 V / 50 Hz. This allows the heat pump to be used equally in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Funding and registration requirements differ by country – your local installer will clarify this.
Why R290 and not R32 or R410A?
R290 is propane, a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of 0.02 instead of several hundred. It is not affected by the scarcity of fluorinated refrigerants and at the same time achieves higher flow temperatures – up to 75 °C here.
Is the 10 kW size suitable for my house?
The VWL 105/8.1 delivers 10.58 kW at an outdoor temperature of -7 °C and a flow of 35 °C. This is suitable for larger single-family homes, two-family homes, or poorly insulated existing buildings with a heating load of around 9 to 12 kW. The exact design requires a heating load calculation according to EN 12831.
Why is this model A+++ even at 55 °C?
With 151% space heating efficiency at 55 °C, the 105/8.1 also achieves the highest rating in the high-temperature class. This makes it particularly interesting for renovations where the radiators remain.
How loud is the heat pump in operation?
58.2 dB(A) sound power at maximum, only 49.6 dB(A) in whisper mode at A7/W35. In night mode, it is 27.5 dB(A) at 3m distance – quieter than a quiet living room.
What else do I need besides the outdoor unit?
The aroTHERM plus is a monoblock, with the complete refrigeration circuit located outdoors. For a complete system, depending on the concept, a hydraulic station or a uniTOWER, a hot water tank and the system control are added. We can put together a suitable package on request.
