Danfoss Flexible Connection Set AB-QM 4.0 Flexo
A compact connection set as an 8-in-1 PICV solution for control, hydraulic balancing, time-saving installation, easy measuring,
flushing, filling, draining and maintenance of, e.g., fan coils, air handling units, ventilation units, chilled beams, etc., with a pressure-independent
balancing and control valve AB-QM 4.0 (PICV) for optimal hydraulic balancing and control with variable flow, to prevent
oversupply and increase efficiency.
The connection set has the following features:
- consists of the components: pressure-independent balancing and control valve (PICV), H-piece valve body, test nipple for flow
and differential pressure measurement, dirt trap with drain, manual shut-off valves
- Bypass section for separate filling, draining, as well as forward and reverse flushing of the system on the consumer section (e.g. fan coil)
by appropriate shut-off of the ball valves
- extended handles on the shut-off ball valves to allow commissioning and maintenance with insulation installed
- shut-off bypass
- Pressure rating PN25, factory leak-tested
- form-fitting EPP shell as compact pre-insulation
- Flexible stainless steel connection hoses as accessories
The integrated pressure-independent balancing and control valve AB-QM 4.0 (PICV) with the following features:
- Flow limitation function
- Modulates the flow via an actuator, regardless of the setting below 1% of the set flow
- Linear control characteristic independent of available pressure and flow setting
- consistently highest valve authority of 1 (100%) at all settings
- Closing pressure 16 bar with closed valve
- Adjustment scale in percent of flow
- Turndown ratio 1:1000
- Leakage rate class IV (according to IEC 60534-4:2007)
- Contamination-resistant valve design due to polymer cone
- Test nipple for pump optimization and flow measurement
- Change of the valve's control characteristic from linear to equal-percentage characteristic for all sizes by adjusting the actuators
